Into the Forests – Arusha City to Arusha National Park
Scheduled travel time: Approx. 1 hour drive. Main focus: Game viewing in Arusha National Park. Starting from Arusha City, the journey leads to Arusha National Park through the landscapes named in the program. Arusha National Park brings together the forested slopes of Mount Meru, Ngurdoto Crater and the Momella Lakes. Giraffes, buffalo, colobus monkeys and waterbirds may be seen, with views changing quickly between forest, open ground and mountain scenery. On the 8-Day Tanzania Safari Adventure Northern Experience, this is the main focus of day 1.
Rift Valley Wonders – Arusha to Lake Natron
Scheduled travel time: Approx. 5–6 hours. Main focus: Engaresero Waterfall walk and Lake Natron flamingo visit. Today’s stage links Arusha with Lake Natron, giving the journey a clear sense of place from beginning to end.
Into the Wild – Lake Natron to Serengeti National Park
Scheduled travel time: Approx. 5–6 hours with game drive en route. Main focus: Scenic drive and game viewing upon entering Serengeti. The route crosses open plains, seasonal grasslands and scattered kopjes. Plains game, elephants and predators may be seen, while the location of migratory herds changes with rainfall and cannot be guaranteed.
Into the Heart of the Serengeti – Full Day Game Drive
Scheduled travel time: Within park, full-day drive. Main focus: Sunrise and afternoon game drives across central Serengeti. A full day is set aside for Full Day Game Drive, allowing the experience to unfold without a rushed timetable. The route crosses open plains, seasonal grasslands and scattered kopjes. Plains game, elephants and predators may be seen, while the location of migratory herds changes with rainfall and cannot be guaranteed. On the 8-Day Tanzania Safari Adventure Northern Experience, this is the main focus of day 4.
Plains of Wonder – Another Full Day in Serengeti
Scheduled travel time: Within park, full-day drive. Main focus: Extended exploration of Serengeti’s diverse ecosystems. A full day is set aside for Another Full Day in Serengeti, allowing the experience to unfold without a rushed timetable. The route crosses open plains, seasonal grasslands and scattered kopjes. Plains game, elephants and predators may be seen, while the location of migratory herds changes with rainfall and cannot be guaranteed. Highlands Journey – Serengeti to Karatu
Scheduled travel time: Approx. 4–5 hours with game drive en route. Main focus: Final Serengeti game drive and scenic transfer to Ngorongoro Highlands. The route crosses open plains, seasonal grasslands and scattered kopjes. Plains game, elephants and predators may be seen, while the location of migratory herds changes with rainfall and cannot be guaranteed.
Crater of Life – Full Day Safari in Ngorongoro Crater
Scheduled travel time: Approx. 1 hour to crater, full-day safari. Main focus: Game drive in Ngorongoro Crater, picnic by hippo pool. A full day is set aside for Full Day Safari in Ngorongoro Crater, allowing the experience to unfold without a rushed timetable. The Ngorongoro landscape combines a forested rim with grassland, wetlands and soda-lake habitat on the crater floor. Wildlife can be diverse, but the guide reads conditions carefully and keeps every sighting patient and responsible. On the 8-Day Tanzania Safari Adventure Northern Experience, this is the main focus of day 7.
Elephant Realm – Tarangire National Park & Return to Arusha
Scheduled travel time: Approx. 2 hours to park, 2–3 hours to Arusha. Main focus: Game drive in Tarangire National Park. Inside Tarangire, baobab woodland and the river corridor create varied habitat. Elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelope and predators may be encountered, and your guide chooses roads according to current conditions rather than promising particular sightings.
