Enjoy 6 days safari featuring Nyerere National Park, Mikumi National Park and Udzungwa Mountains. Pickup from Dar es Salaam and drive to Nyerere NP (4 hours drive) for 2 nights at Selous Safari Lodge where you will enjoy game drives and boat drive, on next destination you will drive to Mikumi national park (6-7 hours) for game drives and overnight at Camp Lilac Mikumi. These two parks are rich in animals like lions, zebra, elephants, leopards and many more

Very few southern Tanzania safaris of 6 days or fewer visit three separate national parks with such contrasting characters. Nyerere delivers water-based wildlife and vast riverine wilderness; Mikumi offers the classic abundant savannah game drive; and Udzungwa provides forest, primates, and one of the continent's most spectacular waterfall experiences. Together they present a picture of southern Tanzania's extraordinary ecological diversity that no single-park safari can approach.
Daily Itinerary
Morning pickup from the hotel in Dar es Salaam and drive to Nyerere National Park 4 hours with lunches at restaurant in Kibiti, take a short break then proceed with the drive, arrive in late afternoon and check in at the lodge, then leave for evening boat drive at Rufiji river. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Selous safari Lodge.
After breakfast in the morning with your packed lunches enjoy full day game inside the game reserve, great animal sightings including all the great favorites lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra and all the other major species like hunting wild dogs and also enjoy a great variety of bird species with wonderful scenery and varied topography: wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest, and higher ground with long views of far-off mountains. Enjoy your packed lunch and time to rest. Your guide will select a location with shade and water nearby to watch the animals coming to drink a place with a clear view all round so that no predator can creep up unseen. During evening you will be back at your accommodation for sunset and dinner at Selous Safari Lodge
After breakfast with your lunch boxes drive to Mikumi National Park 7 hours driving, arrive late afternoon/evening with en route game drive in Mikumi national park you will able to see zebras, impala, giraffe and elephants, followed by dinner and overnight at Camp Lilac Mikumi.
After breakfast from lodge with packed lunches drive for full day game drive in Mikumi national park, during evening return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Camp Lilac Mikumi.
When you are in Mikumi you will be able to see wide variety of bird species, zebras, hippos, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland antelope, giraffe, buffalo and elephants
After breakfast with your parked lunch boxes from the Lodge you will drive for 2 hours to Udzungwa National Park. Enjoy hiking and waterfalls activities in Sanje with your guide experience birds, monkeys, elephants and many more. Before descending and drive back to Mikumi for dinner and overnight at Camp Lilac Mikumi
After early breakfast from lodge enjoy en route game drive in Mikumi National Park while departing to Dar es Salaam in which you will arrive in afternoon or evening at hotel/airport/ferry

Best Time to Visit
This itinerary runs year-round, with each park having its own seasonal character. Nyerere and Mikumi are best visited in the dry season (June - October) when wildlife concentrates around water and track conditions are optimal. The Rufiji River boat drive is available year-round. The Udzungwa hike and Sanje Waterfalls are accessible in all seasons - the falls are most spectacular after rainfall (March - May, November) when flow is highest, while the hike itself is more comfortable in the dry season. The transitional months of May - June and October - November offer an excellent balance: good game viewing in Nyerere and Mikumi, still-flowing waterfalls in Udzungwa, and generally reliable driving conditions across all three parks.
