Best Time to Visit
Both Mikumi and Nyerere offer excellent game viewing year-round. The dry season (June - October) is peak season for both parks - wildlife concentrates around water sources, predator activity peaks, and the boat safari produces the most dramatic hippo and crocodile concentrations. The green season provides lush scenery and exceptional birding, with over 400 species active in both parks. The combination of two parks means the itinerary delivers rewarding wildlife in every month of the year.
