Arrival in Arusha – Gentle Welcome
Scheduled travel time: Airport transfer (approx. 1.5 hour). Main focus: Arrival, rest and refresh in a peaceful retreat. Your journey begins at the agreed airport or meeting point, where the LuiTours team welcomes you and confirms the day’s transfer. This is a practical travel stage, but the drive also offers a useful first look at the region and its everyday rhythm. On the 14-Day Northern Tanzania Safari: Big Five, Serengeti Plains & Cultural Encounters, this is the main focus of day 1.



Forests & Wildlife – Arusha National Park Safari
Scheduled travel time: Approx. 1.5 hours total (to/from park). Main focus: Game drive and optional walking safari or canoe trip. Your guide introduces the plan for Arusha National Park Game Drive and Optional Walking Safari before the day’s travel or activity gets under way. Arusha National Park brings together the forested slopes of Mount Meru, Ngurdoto Crater and the Momella Lakes. Giraffes, buffalo, colobus monkeys and waterbirds may be seen, with views changing quickly between forest, open ground and mountain scenery.



Baobabs & Giants – Travel to Tarangire National Park
Scheduled travel time: Approx. 2.5–3 hours. Main focus: Afternoon game drive in Tarangire. Starting from Arusha, the journey leads to Tarangire National Park through the landscapes named in the program. Inside Tarangire, baobab woodland and the river corridor create varied habitat. Elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelope and predators may be encountered, and your guide chooses roads according to current conditions rather than promising particular sightings. Full-Day Safari in Tarangire & Return to Arusha
Scheduled travel time: Game drive, then 2.5–3 hours to Karatu. Main focus: Full-day exploration of Tarangire, drive to Karatu. A full day is set aside for Day Tarangire Safari and Transfer to Karatu, allowing the experience to unfold without a rushed timetable. Inside Tarangire, baobab woodland and the river corridor create varied habitat. Elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelope and predators may be encountered, and your guide chooses roads according to current conditions rather than promising particular sightings.



Culture & Connection – Hadzabe Experience
Scheduled travel time: 40 Minutes (to/from) Karatu. Main focus: Hadzabe bushmen cultural experience. You meet the guide at the agreed starting point for Lake Manyara and Mto wa Mbu Cultural Experience, then begin at a comfortable, unhurried pace. Lake Manyara lies beneath the Rift Valley escarpment, with groundwater forest, open floodplain and lakeshore habitat close together. Elephants, baboons, monkeys, antelope and waterbirds may be seen as conditions allow.



Ngorongoro Crater – Nature’s Sanctuary
Scheduled travel time: Approx. 1 hour drive. Main focus: Full-day crater safari. Preparations for Lake Eyasi and Hadzabe Cultural Encounter begin at the confirmed meeting point, followed by the main activity at a measured pace. The cultural visit is approached as an exchange rather than a performance. Conversation provides context on pastoral traditions, family life and the ways communities balance heritage with contemporary realities.



Crater Rim Walk & Drive to Central Serengeti
Scheduled travel time: 3 Hours. Main focus: Crater rim walk, scenic drive to Serengeti. You meet the guide at the agreed starting point for Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive, then begin at a comfortable, unhurried pace. The Ngorongoro landscape combines a forested rim with grassland, wetlands and soda-lake habitat on the crater floor. Wildlife can be diverse, but the guide reads conditions carefully and keeps every sighting patient and responsible.



The Serengeti Experience – Untamed Wilderness
Scheduled travel time: Within the Park. Main focus: Daily Game Drives. The day links the Serengeti plains with the cooler Ngorongoro highlands, passing grassland, volcanic slopes and broad viewpoints along the way. Wildlife may be encountered en route, but timing remains flexible and follows current conditions.

The Serengeti Experience – Untamed Wilderness
Scheduled travel time: Within the Park. Main focus: Daily Game Drives. A full day is set aside for Full Day in Central Serengeti, allowing the experience to unfold without a rushed timetable. The route crosses open plains, seasonal grasslands and scattered kopjes. Plains game, elephants and predators may be seen, while the location of migratory herds changes with rainfall and cannot be guaranteed. On the 14-Day Northern Tanzania Safari: Big Five, Serengeti Plains & Cultural Encounters, this is the main focus of day 9.



The Serengeti Experience – Untamed Wilderness
Scheduled travel time: Within the Park. Main focus: Daily Game Drives. The day’s main experience is Serengeti Exploration and Optional Seasonal Movement, with the starting time matched to local conditions and the confirmed itinerary. The route crosses open plains, seasonal grasslands and scattered kopjes. Plains game, elephants and predators may be seen, while the location of migratory herds changes with rainfall and cannot be guaranteed.



Morning Game Drive – Transfer to Lake Natron
Scheduled travel time: Approx. 5 hours. Main focus: Morning game drive, evening flamingo experience. The route crosses open plains, seasonal grasslands and scattered kopjes. Plains game, elephants and predators may be seen, while the location of migratory herds changes with rainfall and cannot be guaranteed.



Engaresero Waterfall and Transfer to Karatu / Mto wa Mbu
Scheduled travel time: Activities + approx. 4–5 hours. Main focus: Engaresero waterfall hike, scenic drive. The morning is organised around Lake Natron, Engaresero Waterfalls, and Flamingo Shore, leaving enough time for the experience rather than treating it as a quick stop. The route passes Chagga farmland on Kilimanjaro’s lower slopes before reaching the waterfall trail or coffee experience named in the program. A local guide explains cultivation, village life and the landscape without rushing the walk.



Culture & Local Life – Mto wa Mbu
Scheduled travel time: Half-Day. Main focus: Cultural tour and village experience. From Lake Natron, you set out for Arusha via Mto wa Mbu at a pace suited to the distance and planned activity.

Scheduled travel time: Approx. 3–4 hours to airport. Main focus: Transfer to airport. The final travel arrangements begin from the confirmed hotel, lodge or meeting point, with timing built around the scheduled flight or onward transfer.
